Her bold sense of fashion and that look-at-me red hair. Silver screen siren Sophia Loren is easily one of the most famous Virgos in the world. Born September 20, , the legendary Italian actress exudes her sign's signature earthy sensuality to this day. Ruled by Venus, the planet of beauty, Libras are known for being charming, romantic and a little bit self-indulgent—much like the characters played by French film icon, Brigitte Bardot.
Despite being refined and regal in appearance, she was was reportedly quite shy with an aura that some described as 'stainless steel'. Bubbly, bright and famous for her comedic timing, Grable was a triple-threat in every sense of the word. An actress, dancer and singer, the How To Marry A Millionaire star's positive and jovial onscreen personality was every bit the sunny Sagittarius.
Although the era of old Hollywood is long gone, we'll be the first to admit that we've always had a fascination for the film stars of the golden age. Unlike modern celebrities, with social media offering a constant look into their lives, the icons of yesteryear were always something of a mystery, and yet somehow, they've always resonated with us so deeply. And if you believe in astrology, there's a very good reason for that—many of them were probably just like us.
Or at least, their characters and style were, based on our shared star signs. From Marilyn Monroe's true-to-Gemini impulsiveness to Grace Kelly's classic Scorpio elegance, we'd like to think we all have an old Hollywood twin written somewhere in the stars. Curious as to which old Hollywood icon is your kindred spirit, according to your zodiac sign?

I plan to do more magazine giveaways going forward. If you like, sign up to follow the blog to make sure you get instant notification of any future offers. This was a wonderful conference on so many levels.
Gorgeous location, and the desert warmth seemed to manifest in the hearts of everyone I met. I love the way an astrology conference can lift your spirit, fill your heart and open your mind all at the same time. I especially want to thank Victoria Smoot, Jenn Zahrt and Chris Brennan for helping me out with a technical snafu before my lecture on Sunday morning. Together we got it all sorted with a minute to spare! As always, a conference is a great opportunity to meet new astro fiends, and deepen existing friendships.weygouk.com/cache/2019-11-09/2433.php
The joy of being together in person is divine, especially after spending so much time connecting, sharing and learning online. At ISAR I got to turn a bunch of e-connections into real world friends, including the lovely Katie Sweetman sitting left in the picture at top left, Priya is centre, and me, in what turned out to be my standard conference pose — eyes closed!
This is not usually something I do at conferences, but the desert heat combined with the pool right outside the foyer made it hard to resist. And who could forget the Friday night dance off, after the AYA journal launch party? In between all this having fun we did manage to get in plenty of astrology.
How was your weekend? Anything exciting or interesting happen? Remember the Jupiter trine Uranus aspect was in play!

One of my passions is reading about how some of our astrological forefathers worked with and thought about astrology. A favourite is Firmicus Maternus and I find this quote of his on the Moon which I have used in lectures on Moon Phases in the past few years truly poetic. The innermost parts of the human grow when the Moon grows, and when she begins to lose light they languish, fatigued in the body; when she grows again their power of growth comes flooding back. Right now, the Moon is her waning cycle, the balsamic phase, letting go of what little light she has to darken before being refreshed by the Sun at the New Moon.

Similarly, we too are invited to let go, release, close out, complete and retreat. Like the Moon losing light, your spirit or even your body may languish now, a little tired from the past four weeks and in need of quiet time, preferably alone, to recharge.
